Chalet
Located a short walk from the Bellingen town centre and surrounded by 5 acres of luxuriant tropical gardens, Koompartoo Retreat has four exquisite rainforest chalets fully air-conditioned/heated built in traditional style from local hardwoods with stained glass bay windows and wide verandahs.
There are four cosy chalets all with queen size beds, one has bunk beds (twin) and two have an additional single bed in a curtained alcove. Guests are pampered with quality linen, fluffy towels, toiletries and fresh flowers. Warmly and individually furnished, the open plan chalets are self-contained with private bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette which incorporates all of life’s vital necessities…coffee plunger, champagne glasses, candlelight etc.
Chalet Kitchen
The lounge/dining area has TV, DVD, video CD/radio, books and magazines. Each chalet has a gas BBQ on the deck for those alfresco dinners.
Breakfast, if required, can be supplied as a DIY hamper.
The chalets are surrounded by native plants and shrubs which attract an amazing variety of rainforest birds. The ancient Bluegum Tree, thought to be over 200 years old, provides an ideal perch for the many local kookaburras.
From the spacious verandah you can watch the world go by, maybe spot a wallaby heading to the creek and identify the vast assortment of magnificently coloured birds.

We provide information on the local attractions, tours and services provided. We would be delighted to help with any bookings or travel arrangements. We can arrange transfers from Coffs Harbour Airport (30 minutes away by road), Urunga Train Station or Bus Depot (15 minutes by road).
